Part of the 2010 Month of Photography, the theme of the fourth edition of the Lucien Hervé and Rodolf Hervé Award is The Language of the City.
Created on the initiative of Judith and Lucien Hervé in memory of their son Rodolf, the prize is awarded to a young professional photographer.
The idea is to help a photographer aged between 25 and 43 make his work known to a broader public. The competition is open to anyone resident in France or Hungary for at least three years, irrespective of their nationality.

In partnership with the École Spéciale d’Architecture de Paris, which is eager to reinforce the role of photography in the culture of future architects, the Lucien Hervé and Rodolf Hervé Award is given following a dual assessment procedure.

On the basis of proposals made by qualified personalities - Béatrice Andrieux, Armelle Canitrot, Gabriella Csizek, Patrick Le Bescond, Hervé Le Goff and Attila P?cze, eighteen French and Hungarian applications are pre-selected.
On 13 September 2010 at the École Spéciale d'Architecture de Paris, the jury (Judith Hervé, Agnès b. represented by Elodie Cazes, Olivier Beer, Didier Brousse, Gilles de Bure, Odile Decq represented by Claire Chevrier, Françoise Morin and Françoise Reynaud) selected the work of Alexis Cordesse (France) and Akos Czigany (Hungary).

The award ceremony will take place on Tuesday 16 November 2010 in the presence of the jury and participating personalities in the gallery of the Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture.

Judith Hervé will present a cheque for 6,000 euros to the winner, whose work will also be published in the form of a brochure.
